as you've probably read in your IB calendar you are supposed to hand in the topics of your EE. So please do so as soon as possible!
Tasks for next week:
Read chapter 8, pp. 142-168. Pick two of the three questions below:
On the exam sheet (see document), p. 6, question 13: Analyse the factors which influenced the development of the Cold War, up to 1968, either in Asia or in Europe.
question 15: Analyse the role of Germany in the origin and development of the Cold War.
question 23: Compare and contrast the part played by Korea and Cuba in the Cold War.

Please read all pages. The first page is a little introduction to the missiles of the crisis so you'll know what we're talking about.
Analyze the two letters by Khrushchev and Castro regarding opvl (origin, purpose, value, limitation in case you still don't know). Do that thoroughly! It's excellent exercise for your exams. Another helper are the exam question at the end of the doc.
Please bring all those documents to the next session. We're going to watch a documentary on the cmc so it makes sense to follow the events on your timeline.
Monster Session on Thursday, 30 April!! Be prepared for the Cold War. Have a look at the CW page. Some ideas to be considered:
What happened at Potsdam in 1945?
What is the Truman Doctrine?
Define containment policy.
Explain the Marshall-Plan.
Why did Berlin need an airlift? When?
How did the nuclear arms race develop?
And of course - finish reading chapter 7 of Part I - The Cold War, pp. 122-140 and do already have a look at the tasks on p. 141.
